Patricia L. Snezek, 83, Enjoyed Camping and Traveling

Pat was born in Amonate, Virginia on June 1, 1933 and moved to Ohio in 1954 from Kingsport, Tennessee. She had been a resident of Elyria Township for the past thirty-eight years.
Pat had been employed as a sales associate in multiple departments at the Sears-Roebuck store in Midway Mall for twenty-six years; she retired from the retailer in 1993.
She was an active parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township where she was also a member of the Altar & Rosary, Society, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the Sharing Christmas ministry.
Pat enjoyed camping in her free time as well as travel; along with her husband, she had been on eleven ocean cruises and numerous wine tours. She was an avid reader and a fan of reality television shows. In addition, she was a devotee of the Young and the Restless. Pat also enjoyed dining out and possessed a fondness for Mexican cuisine and a good margarita.
She leaves her husband of thirty-eight years Carl R. Snezek, and children Brian (Shelly) Puls of Fort Madison, Iowa, Carl R. Snezek, Jr. (Christie) of Atlanta, Georgia, along with Kathleen Kuhns (Ryan) and Jean Smolka (John) both residing in Sheffield Lake. She also leaves ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and sisters Dorothy Gomeringer of Abingdon, Maryland, and Juanita Lester (Glen) of Newark, Delaware.
Pat was preceded in death by her son Curtis Puls in 1977, and by her parents W. Carl and Virginia (nee Wilson) Young.
Friends may call Wednesday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. The officers and members of the St. Vincent DePaul Altar and Rosary will recite the rosary there at 3:00 p.m. to begin the visitation.
Funeral services will be Thursday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel; a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 North Ridge Rd,, Elyria Township. Reverend Donald Dunson will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
The Snezek Family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and caregivers on One West at Mercy Regional Medical Center as well as to the staff at Mercy New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph for their care and compassion during Pat’s stay there.
