Charles A. Walczesky, 64, U.S. Army Veteran

Photo of Charles A. Walczesky Charles A. Walczesky, 64, of Lorain passed away suddenly, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Walczesky was born in Monroe, MI on May 7, 1952, a son of the late Charles and Clara (nee Liford) Walczesky. He was a lifelong resident of the Lorain area.

He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War earning the National Defense Service Medal.

Mr. Walczesky had been employed as a mechanic and as a roofer. He enjoyed fishing and watching football. He was dedicated to helping his fellow veterans.

He is survived by a son Scott A Walczesky of Westlake, sisters Joyce Ouellet of Louisville,KY, Karen (David) Dilworth, of Plano, TX, brothers, Edward (Vivian) Walczesky of Monroe, MI, Michael (Julie) Walczesky of Columbia, SC, David Walczesky also of Louisville, KY and Joseph Walczesky of Lorain and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Carol Walczesky and a nephew Tim Ouellet.

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain from 5-7 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Ohio with full military honors.
