Jonathan J. Vidrick, 77, Enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and Farming

Photo of Jonathan J. Vidrick Jonathan J. “Jack” Vidrick, 77, of Vermilion Township, died Wednesday October 5, 2016 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a brief illness.

He was born December 18, 1938 in Lorain and had resided in Vermilion Township for over 40 years.

Jack graduated from Lorain High School and served in the US Marine Corps from 1956-1958.

Jack worked at the Ford Assembly Plant in Lorain in the inventory department retiring after 30 years.

He was a member of the former Ss Cyril & Methodius Slovenian Catholic Church in Lorain and the former Slovenian Home in Lorain. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming his land in Vermilion Township where he raised turkeys, chickens and rabbits.

He is survived by his daughter Jeanne Webb of Vermilion; grandchildren: Jonah Webb and Jarod Webb (Dana), all of Vermilion and Jessica Burdette (Tony) of Florida; sister Janice Bracikowski of Brunswick Hills and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years Judith A. Vidrick (nee Gaetz) in July 2000, daughter Joann Jacques in April 2000, parents John and Angela Vidrick (nee Kotnik) and brother Jeffrey Vidrick.

The family will receive friends Tuesday October 11th from 10:00-11:00 am at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
