Elliott F. Smith, 45, Enjoyed Spending Time With His Children

He was born August 8, 1971 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Elliott attended Terra Tech in Fremont where he earned a certification as a welder.

He worked for Element in Independence as a certified welder and certified welding inspector and taught welding classes at Cuyahoga Community College. He was a member of the American Welding Society and Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain. He enjoyed spending time with his children and working out at the gym.

He is survived by his children: Elliott D. Smith, Danielle R. Smith and Shawn L. Smith, all of Sheffield Lake; mother Karen Kovacs (John) of Sheffield Lake; father Jay Smith of Nevada; sister Dena Sims and brother Jay Smith, both of Florida.

The family will receive friends Thursday October 13th from 4:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Cremation will follow.
