Angel R. Sanchez, 68, of Lorain, died unexpectedly on Tuesday October 11, 2016 at his home of natural causes.
He was born May 29, 1948 in Corozal, Puerto Rico and had resided in Lorain most of his life.
Angel attended Lorain High School and was a self-employed contractor in the construction trade.
He enjoyed photography, playing softball and racquetball and was a Big Foot enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He attended St. Peter Parish.
He is survived by his children Troy Sanchez of Lorain and Kyle Balogh (Marc) of Elyria; grandchildren Camron, Aubree and Mia; sister Marie Hernandez of Lorain; brother Edgar Sanchez (Michele) of Shelby Township, Michigan; nieces Brenda Morgan (Garth), Cheryl Hernandez and Amber Sanchez and nephews Eric Hernandez and Edgar Sanchez, Jr. and five great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Angel and Eva Sanchez (nee Melendez) and brother-in- law Sergio Hernandez.
The family will receive friends Friday October 14 th from 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Additional viewing times will be Saturday October 15 th from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev. Rocky Ortiz, deacon at Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain, will officiate. Cremation will follow.
