Frank C. McKenzie, 91, U.S. Army Veteran

He was born March 3, 1925 in Bellevue, Ohio and had resided in Lorain most of his life.
Frank served with the US Army in Company C 526th Armored Infantry Battalion during World War II. He saw action in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars and the World War II Victory Medal.
Frank retired from US Steel in Lorain where he worked in the BOP Shop. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1301 in Lorain and a member and past president of the Lorain USBC Bowling Association. Frank was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed playing bingo, golf and bowling.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years Navia McKenzie (nee DeMarco); daughters: Patricia Ann Anderson (Lowell G., Sr) and Sharon Morehart (Jeffery); grandchildren: Lowell G. Anderson II (Andrea) and Gina M. Guerra (Jack); 6 great grandchildren and sister Donna Kaminski. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank C. & Dollie McKenzie (nee Beachler) and 7 brothers and sisters.
Private family funeral services will be held
Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
