Mary Kosco, 67, Co-Owner of Sue B's Cleaning Service

Photo of Mary Kosco Mary “Sue” Kosco, (nee Smith), age 67, of Lorain, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Monday October 31, 2016 following an illness of ten months.

Sue was born in Lorain on November 2, 1948 and had been a life-long resident of the city; she was a graduate of Lorain High School.

Along with her daughters, she was the co-owner of Sue B’s Cleaning Service in Lorain.

Sue was a member and current First Vice President of Amvets Post # 47 and was also a member of the Lorain Slovenian Club where she was acknowledged as its Woman of the Year in 2000. She assisted both clubs with bookkeeping duties as well as with assistance in their day-to-day operations.

Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and she received great enjoyment being a spectator at their various sporting events. Sue was regarded as an accomplished cook, an ardent fan of classic movies, and was always willing to test her luck on casino trips.

She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years Dale A. Kosco, her son Dale D. Kosco of Lorain, and daughters Beth Ann Heider (Bradley) , Becky E. Petrisko (Scott), and Andrea L. Koury (Bryan) all of Lorain. She also leaves grandchildren Thomas, Matthew, Andrew, Alexis, Adrian, and Jordan, her mother Martha Smith (nee Marshall) of Lorain, brother Howard Smith (Sandy) of Vermilion, and sisters Sandra Pinkerton (Pops) and Odessa Smith both of Lorain.

Sue was preceded in death by her father Leroy Smith in 1978 and by her sister Martha C. Smith in 2009.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Private committal services for the family will take place in Calvary Cemetery. The Very Reverend Nicholas R.A. Rachford, J.C.L., pastor of St. Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church will officiate.
