Ann Pawlyshyn, 91, Enjoyed Singing and Dancing

She was born August 8, 1925 in Ruda, Volyn, Ukraine. She met and married her husband of 52 years, John in 1946 in Braunschweig, Germany. They immigrated to Youngstown in 1949. Her family settled in Parma for 21 years before moving to Avon Lake in 1981.
Ann was a tailor working for May Co. in Parma for many years. She was a member of St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Lorain and a former member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Parma. She sang in both choirs. She enjoyed singing, dancing and creating her own and her daughters’ clothing.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Olena Helen (Dale) Smith of White Lake, Michigan; son-in-law Ron Andolsen of Avon Lake; sisters Mary Koblosh of Windsor, Canada and Zina of Ukraine; her grandchildren Eric (Monica) Pawlyshyn of Avon, Tanya (Jake) Reith of Avon Lake, Tim (Christie) Kurka of Noblesville, Indiana, Tom Andolsen of Denver, Colorado, Wendy Bloom of Noblesville and Tamara (Jessie) Burge of Los Angeles, California and 6 great grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Sylvester and Sophia (née Schocky) Mulawka, her daughter Olga Andolsen in 2012 and a brother Ivan Mulawka.
A Parastas will be Monday, November 14 at 7 PM in St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 2304 East 34th Street, Lorain. Her family will also receive friends Tuesday from 10 AM until time of her funeral service at 11 AM in the church. Rev. Father Dimitri Belenki, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
