Evelyn M. Woskobnick, 81, Enjoyed Painting and Cooking

Born in Lorain on September 25, 1935, she was a graduate of St. Mary High School.
Evelyn had previously been employed as a secretary for Bob Beck Chevrolet, and later as a receptionist in the medical practice of Dr. Lai.
A member of St. Peter Parish in Lorain, she enjoyed painting and possessed a special interest in the use water colors. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and liked sharing her traditional recipes with them. Additional interests included playing scrabble, gardening, and casino trips.
She is survived by sons Robert (Cathy) of Powell, Ohio, and Dave (Jennifer) of Amherst, along with daughters Carol Kolenda and Joan (Keith) Kushinski both of Lorain, In addition, she leaves seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and her brother John Fertalj, Jr. of Amherst.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 1985, her father John Fertalj, Sr., her mother Gisella Fertalj (nee Kovach), and her brother Leon Fertalj.
Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in St. Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Avenue. Reverend Craig Hovanec, pastor of the parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
