Melissa Gachupinanzurez, 47, Known for Vibrant Personality, Loving Ways and High Spirits

She was born November 6, 1969 in Lorain, she attended North Ridgeville and South View High Schools. Melissa’s hobbies included dancing with Alma de Mexico Folk group since a young age, shooting darts, playing pool and spending countless hours with her family and friends. She was a member of the Knights of Saint John’s no. 2811 and Saint Lads club of Lorain Ohio. She was an outgoing person who was best known for her vibrant personality, loving ways, and high spirits.
Melissa is survived by her daughter Tenisha Cruz, granddaughter Aubrey Cruz, Brothers Frank (Susie) Cruz Jr., Randy ( Mary) Cruz; sister Debbie (Roberto) Rodriguez (née Delgado) and numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews, great-nephews, god-children, and many other family and friends whom will miss her dearly.
Melissa is preceded in death by her father Frank Cruz Sr., mother Rebecca M. Delgado; maternal grandparents Paul R. Delgado Sr. and Justine Delgado (née Trujillo), paternal grandmother Josephine Cruz; sisters Justine Marquez, Monica Vazquez, and Mitzy Cruz Rodriguez.
Her family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 8 PM Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st St., South Lorain. Her funeral will be Saturday with closing prayers in the funeral home at 9:30 AM then Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Drive (and Grove Avenue), Lorain. Rev. Father John C. Retar, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Her family suggests memorial contributions to offset burial expences.
