Carol M. Bowens, 76, Enjoyed Flowers and Crocheting

Mrs. Bowens was born in Sheffield on September 26, 1940, the daughter of the late Claude and Esther (nee Lang) Downing.
She was a member of Tower Baptist Church in Lorain. She was a active member of the flower committee, cooking and decorating for church events.
Mrs. Bowens was an assembler at TRW-Nelson Stud in Elyria Township for 32 years: retiring in 2001. She also had worked at the former Howard Johnson on the turnpike plaza, where she met her husband.
She enjoyed flowers, crocheting, and cooking family dinners.
Mrs. Bowens is survived by her husband of 51 years, Clyde Bowens, daughter Pamela S. Bowens of Ft. Myers, FL; sons Donald (Viki) Campbell Jr. of Vermilion, Steven C. (Jennifer) Bowens, of Elyria, grandchildren: Donald Campbell III, Emily Hewitt, Rachael Bowens, Ashleigh Bowens, great granddaughter Ahlyse Hewitt, sisters Shirley (William) Pasta, Claudette Church, and brother Claude Downing all of Lorain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson Christopher L. Campbell.
Friends may call on Wednesday December 14, 2016 from 4-7 p.m.. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
Additionally friends may call on Thursday, December 15, 2015 from 10:00 am. until services at 11:00 am at Tower Baptist Church, 1313 Tower Blvd. Lorain with Rev. Gary Dorsey, Rev. Jay Roller and Rev. Butch Martin, officiating.
Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Amherst Township, OH.
