Frank Cruz Jr., 52, Avid Sports Fan

He was born March 31, 1964 in Lorain and was a lifelong resident. Frank was employed by Laborers' International Union of North America Local 758 Lorain. He was member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish, Lorain and the Knights of Columbus in Lorain where he was a 3rd Degree Knight. Frank was generous with his time and talents, organizing many fund raising events for anyone in need. He enjoyed traveling, playing softball and was an avid sports fan. Frankie loved spending time with his family and friends.

He will be dearly missed by his wife and companion of 16 years Susie Cruz (née Tkalcec) of Lorain; his sons Dominic Cruz and Tyler Tkalcec both of Lorain; daughters Anita Cruz, Falicia Cruz, Justine Szakal all of Lorain, Samantha (Frisco) Boneta, Brittany Cruz, and Olivia Cruz all of Amherst and Jillian (Patrick) McCray of Little Rock, Arkansas; brother Randy) (Mary) Cruz of Lorain; sister Debbie (Roberto) Rodriguez (née Delgado) of Lorain and grandchildren Manuel LaTorre, Angelo Terry, Blake Bailey and Eli Boneta.

Frank was preceded in death by his father Frank Cruz Sr., mother Rebecca M. Delgado; maternal grandparents Paul R. Delgado Sr. and Justine Delgado (née Trujillo), paternal grandmother Josephine Cruz; sisters Justine Marquez, Monica Vazquez, Mitzy Cruz Rodriguez and Melissa Gachupin Anzurez.

His family will receive friends Thursday, December 29 from 2 to 8 PM in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11 AM in St. Frances Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Drive (and Grove Avenue), Lorain. (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH) Rev. Father John C. Retar, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
