Richard A. Gilles, 74, Enjoyed League Bowling

Born in Lorain on April 3, 1942, he was a life-long resident of the city and a 1960 graduate of Lorain High School.
A long time parishioner of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mr. Gilles was currently attending Nativity BVM Catholic Church, He was employed as a delivery driver for Hungry Howie’s Pizza. He had previously worked as a mechanic at the Sears Automotive Center at Midway Mall as well as a machinist for Terex Equipment, Thew Division of Koehring, and P.C. Campana International.
Richard was a long-time member of the Knights of St. John Commandery # 314 in Lorain; in his free time he enjoyed league bowling.
He is survived by daughters Lenore M. Hales and Lisa A. Ritter (William) both of Lorain and by his son Leonard J. Gilles also of Lorain. In addition, he leaves his former wife FlorenceFlo (nee Brosky), grandchildren Nicholas Krevinko, Jessika (Juan) Henline, and Justin (Jessica) Henline, as well as great grandchildren Hailey Henline and Kameron Corales, brother Russell (Arleen) Gilles of Lorain, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Edna (nee Welter) Gilles, and by his sister Norma Rush.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Nativity BVM Catholic Church 1454 Lexington Avenue. Reverend Robert Glepko, pastor of the parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
