William H. Evenchik, 91, Enjoyed Watching Car Racing

Mr. Evenchik was born in Cleveland on January 19, 1926, the son of the late Morris and Jean (nee Epstein) Evenchik. He was a 1944 graduate of Lorain High School. He was a member of the Agudath B'Nai Israel Synagogue.
For over 50 years, he owned and operated Evans Auto Parts along with his late father and late brother Alan.
He was a devoted and long time member of the Lorain Lions Club, holding several offices. He was also Past President of B'nai B'rith Men. He enjoyed watching car racing but found the most enjoyment by spending time with his family.
Mr. Evenchik is survived by sons Sanford N. (Karen) Evenchik, of Orange Village, Leonard N. (Suzanne) Evenchik of Cambridge MA, daughter Edith C. Schneider of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, grandchildren: Aaron (Courtney) Evenchik, Vicki (Mordy) Lichtenstein, Andrea (Jason) Pollack, Alex Evenchik, great grandchildren: Solly Evenchik, Shayna Evenchik, Zachariah Evenchik, Max Evenchik, Eitan Lichtenstein, and Sara Bleema Lichtenstein.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by by his wife, Bleema (nee Roth) in 2010 and brothers, Alan and Martin.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain with Mr. Mark Jaffee, officiating.
Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, Sheffield Township. The family will sit Shiva following the Meal of Consolation until 4:00 p.m. at the synagogue.
