Stella T. Holiday, 94, Enjoyed Playing Bingo

She was born February 22, 1922 in Berea and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
Stella worked as the cook and housekeeper at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain for 30 years retiring in 2000. As a member of the church, she was active in the church altar & rosary society and the school PTU. She was also a member of the PLAV #38 Ladies Auxiliary in Lorain.
Stella enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to Las Vegas and polka dancing. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
She is survived by her children: Patricia A. Muzik (Richard) of Lorain, Frank J. Holiday of Lorain and James F. Holiday (Helen) of Medina; grandchildren: Stephanie Kramer (Dan) of Amherst, Michael Muzik of Portland, Oregon, John Muzik (Nickole) of Lorain, Nancy Strauser (David) of Amherst, Frank Holiday (Alyssa) of Lusby, Maryland, Susan Basnett (Rob) of Strongsville, Jennifer Derk (Jim) of Elyria, Christopher Holiday (Lisa) of Alton Bay, New Hampshire, Natalie Holiday of Rochester, New Hampshire and Michelle Crandall of Cleveland and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Frank A. Holiday on September 2, 1985, daughter-in-law Kathleen A. Holiday (nee Zawasky) on October 13, 2013, parents Vincent & Mary Stawicki (nee Lasecki) and 11 siblings.
The family will receive friends Tuesday February 7th from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain where the Nativity Altar & Rosary Society will pray the rosary Tuesday at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 8th at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Robert J. Glepko, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
