Francesca Iemma, 85, Enjoyed Family Traditions

She was born in Bovalino, Italy on June 4, 1931 and came to the United States in 1953.
Her joy was watching her family carry on their family traditions. Summer was her favorite season. She truly enjoyed the warm weather and the beauty that the season brought to her with her gardening and flowers.
She worked at the American Slovak home for many years as a cook and for the bowling leagues.
She is survived by her children: Rose (Tony) Klucas, Ralph Iemma and his fiance Maureen Shannon and Carmella (Dale) Wakelee; grandchildren: Dawn McDonald, Shannon McDonald, Deanna Bodnar, Angela Angelo (nee Iemma), Donald Spisak and Christopher Iemma; great grandchildren Felicia Coffey, Sean Coffey, Jordan Spisak, Noah Spisak and Brayden Speckhart; step grandchildren Anthony Klucas, Daniel Wakelee, David Wakelee and Christine Wakelee; brother Erminio Crea and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Ralph Iemma in 1984, her son Giuseppe, her grandson Edward Speckhart, parents Giuseppe and Carmella Crea (nee Sicila), brothers Stefano, Dominic and Giuseppe Crea and sister Concetta De Stefano.
The family will receive friends Monday February 13th from 4:00-8:00 pm at Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave Lorain. Funeral services will be on Tuesday February 14th at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Robert J. Glepko, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
