Santa Migdalia Rivera, 60, Loved Fishing and Camping

Photo of Santa Migdalia Rivera Santa Migdalia Rivera, 60, of Lorain, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 as a result of a short battle with brain cancer.

Her family was by her side when she drifted off to be with the Lord.

She was born to Maria Irenne Quinonez Rodriguez and Santo Antonio Padilla Barbosa of Ponce, Puerto Rico on October 13, 1956. Migdalia was the youngest of the 5 sisters. She loved fishing, going to the casino, her bowling league, camping, helping people and cooking. Migdalia was an active member of the Puerto Rican Home, Lorain.

Migdalia is survived by her son Charles W. Rodriguez Jr. and daughter Naycha Padilla Gonzalez - Raible; grandchildren Damian and Megan Rodriquez, Matthew II, Cylis and Ciani Tyler; her sisters Chavy Perez Cleveland, Flor Melendez and Magdy Padilla both of Lorain and Tonia Padilla of Puerto Rico; brother Tony Padilla of Puerto Rico; step children Flor Rivera, Jr. of Clarksville, Tennessee, Judith Rivera Wicks of Gilbert, Arizona, Yolanda Velasquez and Wanda Rivera both of Lorain and her companion David Pemberton of Lorain.

Other than her parents, Migdalia was preceded in death by her loving husband Flor in 2013.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday, February 14 from 4 to 8 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Where her funeral will be Wednesday in the funeral home at 10 AM. Her burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
