Scott J. Maldonado, 52, Enjoyed Cooking

Scott was born on May 7, 1965 in Lorain to Jo and Ruben Maldonado. He had a strong passion for working with his hands and was an all-around phenomenal handy man. His true passion resided in the kitchen, where he enjoyed cooking all the time. He had a passion of one day going into culinary arts and becoming a professional chef. He enjoyed being outdoors and at a young age could always be found on the lake fishing. He welcomed his only child Steven into this world, and began to love and nurture him dearly. His family remembers him as being an outgoing, loving, and caring man. Jo and Ruben always encouraged him to follow his dreams.

Scott is survived by his son Steven Redd of Lorain; his mother Jo Maldonado of Lorain, brothers Jim (Susan) Maldonado, Tony Maldonado, his sister Julie Maldonado and a host of nieces and nephews all of Lorain.

Scott is preceded in death by his father Ruben Maldonado.

A family celebration of Scott's life will be held on Tuesday, February 14 from 5 -8pm at El Centro, 2800 Pearl Avenue in Lorain. All family and friends are welcomed to attend. The family would like to send their Thank You to everyone who reached out.
