Gerald "Jerry" Bahn, 67, Enjoyed Cycling & League Bowling

Born in Lorain on February 17, 1950, Jerry had been a Lorain resident for most of his life. He was a 1968 graduate of Admiral King High School; he went on to complete courses in chemical engineering and accounting at Ohio University, Lorain County Community College, and Kent State University. He later attended the Culinary Institute of Chicago.
Jerry was most recently employed as a sous chef at Avon Oaks Country Club. He had previously been employed as a lab technician at Invacare.
In his free time he enjoyed cycling, league bowling, golf, and basketball.
Survivors include his son Torey M. Bahn of Lorain, step-son Justin Vukelic of Boston, step grandson Avery Vukelic, father Julius Bahn of Lorain, brother Terrence Chip Bahn of Huron, and sister Sandy Bahn of Lorain.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother Nellie (nee Dudukovich) in 2001.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain where funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Craig Hovanec, pastor of St. Peter Parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly encourages memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association 4500 Rockside Rd., Suite 440, Independence, OH 44131.
