Alice V. Stipanovich, 86, Will be Dearly Missed

Alice was born in Lorain on November 3, 1930 and was a 1948 graduate of St. Mary High School. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Mary of the Woods College in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1952. Miss Stipanovich had been a resident of Avon for the past eleven years coming from Lorain.
She was most recently employed as the Director of Food and Nutrition Services at St. Joseph Hospital. Alice retired from that position in 1990 following a career that spanned two decades with the healthcare provider. She had previously been employed as a registered dietician for Stouffer’s as well as for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Driven by her deep faith, Alice served as a lector and Eucharistic minister at St. Peter Parish in Lorain as well as at St. Mary of the Woods in Avon.
She is survived by a host of cousins along with many wonderful friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Mary Rose (nee Horvath) Stipanovich.
Visitation will be observed on Monday March 13th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon in St. Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Avenue. The Reverend Craig Hovanec, pastor of the parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
