Dorothy M. Rancher, 89, Enjoyed Traveling with Her Family

She was born May 14, 1927 in Sheffield Township and had been a lifelong Sheffield Township resident.
Dorothy graduated from Clearview High School in 1945. She worked as the Manager of Spencer Gifts at the Midway Mall in Elyria for 23 years before retiring.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township and St. Anne’s Lodge Branch # 114. She enjoyed traveling with her family, cooking and baking.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years Richard Rancher; children: Barbara Alexander (Scotty), Christine Manfredonia (Anthony), Jeff Rancher (Kathy), Deborah Cruz (David) and Mark Rancher (Robin); 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends Monday March 13th from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Prayer services will be held Tuesday March 14th at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 N. Ridge Rd, Elyria Township. The Rev. Donald Dunson, pastor, will officiate. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
