Gerard "Jay" Cruz, 46, Found Passion in Sports and Coaching

He was born September 17, 1970 in Manhattan, New York; Jay had always found passion in sports, coaching. He enjoyed DJing. He loved being with family. Jay was a member of House of Praise International Church, Lorain. Jay was known for his incredible sense of humor and contagious smile.
Jay will be greatly missed by his wife Cindy, his children Adam, Alyssa, Brandon, Jourdyn, and Cameron; beloved son of Chelly Cruz and Gerardo Cruz. Siblings, Israel, Crystal, and Alicia; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jay was preceded in death by grandparents Gerardo and Carmen M. (née Cepeda) Cruz, Justimo Davila, and a brother Brandon Cruz.
His family will receive friends Friday, March 14, from 3 p.m. until the time of celebration of life at 6 p.m. at Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home 1783 E. 31 Street, South Lorain.
