Melvin A. Huber, 84, Enjoyed His Summer Home in Marblehead

Mr. Huber was born in Lorain on March 18, 1932, the son of the late Earnest J. and Evelyn D. (nee Towne) Huber. He was a graduate of Lorain High School.
He worked as a machinist at Ideal Machine Shop for 42 years retiring in 1992.
Mr. Huber was a very active member of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church. He helped build the current church and participated in many other maintenance projects.
He enjoyed his summer home in Marblehead; where he summered for more than 30 years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and tinkering with electrical things, as well as sitting and talking with his new friends at his apartment complex, The International Plaza. The joy of his life was his dog, Spike.
Mr. Huber is survived by his nephew Brian Smith of Lorain, his cousin Carl (Chris) Neuber of Missouri.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (nee Kern) Huber on April 13, 2010.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain from 10:00 am until services at 11:00 am with Mr. Chuck Boals, chaplain of Lorain Light House United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
