Elizabeth A. Conley, 84, Enjoyed Crocheting and Quilting

Betty was born on July 17, 1932 in the Hungarian settlement of Budapest in Haralson County, Georgia. She moved to Lorain in 1936 at the age of 4 with her family. She attended Lorain Schools and was a graduate of the 1951-A class of Lorain High School.
She married in Lorain on May 9, 1959 to her husband Roy H. Conley and together they shared 57 � years of marriage.
She was employed by Service Overall for ten years and later was employed as a preschool teacher at Miss Ann’s Day Nursery, lovingly referred to as Miss Betty.
Mrs. Conley was an active and long-time member of the Family Fellowship Foursquare Church in Amherst where she happily served as a Sunday School teacher and as a Vacation Bible School teacher for many years. She was a prayer warrior and would even awaken in the night to pray for those in need or just because she felt a strong urge to do so.
Betty enjoyed crocheting, quilting and creating crafts and shared her talents with her family and friends over the years. She made many a meal for shut-ins, friends and family as well as sharing her baking skills. She also was a member of the Adaptive Sports Group at Mercy Hospital.
Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years Roy H. Conley; a son Joseph F. (Barbara) Conley of Lorain; by daughters Susan J. Mellen of Amherst and Patricia A. Cendrosky of Lorain; five grandchildren, Adam & Andrew Mellen, Joseph & Lauren Cendrosky and Maggie Conley;
one great-grandson, Trevor.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert J. Red Rado in 1960 and Pauline (née Estavanko) Rado in 1993 and by sisters Helen Rado in 1931 and Catherine M. Rado in 2013.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23th, 2017 from 4:00pm 8:00pm in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, and also on Friday, March 24th from 10:00am until time of services at 11:00am at the Family Fellowship Foursquare Church, 780 Cooper Foster Park Road in Amherst, Ohio 44001 with the Rev. Josh Smith and Rev. Doug Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Family Fellowship Foursquare Church in her memory.
