Delores E. Sloan, 85, Enjoyed Crossword Puzzles, TV Game Shows and Reading

She was born June 25, 1931 in Kerz, Kentucky and had resided in Lorain since 1953.
Delores was a member of Broadway Assembly Church in Lorain. She loved her church and taught Sunday school there for 4 years and participated in Bible study.
She was a volunteer for the Senior Years newspaper in Elyria. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, TV game shows and reading.
She is survived by her son H. Matthew Sloan (fiancé Tamela Hanna) of Vermilion, sister Pauline Tackett of Paintsville, Kentucky and stepgrandchildren Amy Brooks and Matthew Brooks. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Sloan, Jr in 1995, father Tracy Murray, mother Malta Murray-Bailey (nee Hall) and brothers Paris Clifford Murray and Danny Davis.
The family will receive friends Wednesday April 12th from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Additional viewing times will be on Thursday April 13th from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Broadway Assembly Church, 5495 Broadway Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Matt Jones, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
