Tina M. Catanzarite, 93, Will Be Dearly Missed

She was born August 31, 1923 in Lorain and had been a lifelong resident.
Tina attended Lorain schools and graduated from Lorain High School in 1941. She worked as a clerk for Neisner’s, Fisher Dry Goods and Hills Department Stores.
She was a member of St. Peter Parish in Lorain and had attended St. John Catholic Church in Lorain. She was a long-time member of IAV Post #1 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Ksenich (Joseph) of Lorain, son James J.C. Catanzarite of Elyria; grandchildren: Gena Catanzarite of Akron, Joseph C. Ksenich (Adriann) of Lorain, Jennifer Collins (Zak) of Gates Mills, Kristi Jones of Lorain and Brandon Kalo of Lorain; great grandchildren: Mia and Samuel Ksenich, Owen and Ivy Collins and Jayson Feliciano; sisters: Darlene Bruno of Lorain and Joan Wohlever of Amherst. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Dominic S. Catanzarite on April 24, 2014, parents Anthony & Jennie DeChiaro (nee Rosso), brothers Joseph& Salvatore DeChiaro, sisters Fannie Ayrey and Rose Volak and grandson Jason Kalo.
Tina’s family would like to thank the staff at Avon Oaks Porter Pavilion for the kind and loving care that Tina received during her time there.
The family will receive friends Friday April 21 st from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will begin Friday at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
