Dominic F. Manacci, 55, Cherished His Family, Friends and Faith

Photo of Dominic F. Manacci Dominic F. Manacci 55, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2017 following a lengthy battle with cancer at Mercy New Life Hospice surrounded by his loving family.

He was born to Gino and Eda Manacci on April 13, 1962 in Lorain, OH and was the youngest of his triplet siblings, Annette and Dr. Christopher Manacci.

Dominic graduated from Admiral King High School, Class of 1980 and LCCC in 1982 with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and Police Science. He worked as a Corrections Officer and Corrections Sergeant for Lorain County Sheriff's Office retiring in 2010. Dominic was very supportive of civic and non-profit groups in the community. He served 2 terms as Union President of Lorain County Sheriff Employer's Association Local 207. He served 1 term as Director of Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Dominic cherished and loved his family, friends, and faith dearly.

He is survived by his parents, Gino and Eda Manacci; siblings, Joseph (Teri) Manacci, Larry Manacci, Mary (Daniel Bick) Manacci Patterson, Dr. Christopher (Patricia) Manacci and Annette Manacci; one niece, Gina; and three nephews, Marc, Mario, and Michael.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary F. Antonelli.

The family will receive friends at St. Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 8:30 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM with Fr. Craig M. Hovanec, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dominic’s memory to St. Peter Parish Capital Campaign, 3655 Oberlin Ave, Lorain, OH 44053.
