Jean Ploskunak, 89, Will Be Dearly Missed

She was born October 17, 1927 in Lorain to Stanley and Mary (née Dembek) Kowalczyk. Jean retired from General Industries in Elyria in the early 1970’s.She worked there for over 20 years. During World War II she worked at the cafeteria of National Tube, Lorain. Jean was devoted member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, Lorain. She enjoyed bingo and casinos. Jean was extremely friendly She had never met a stranger.
Jean will be deeply missed by her son Ron Ploskunak of Lorain and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband Andy Ploskunak in 1974 and brothers Leo, Stanley, Ben, Julius and Steve Kowalczyk.
A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Saturday, May 6 in St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain. Pastor John C. Ratar, Pastor will officiate, burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Her family suggests memorial contributions to Mother Cabrini Cupboard, 2134 Homewood Drive, Lorain, Ohio 44055.
