Filomena Figueroa, 88, Loved to Cook Traditional Meals for Her Family

Photo of Filomena Figueroa Filomena “Filo” Figueroa (Torres) went peacefully home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 29th at the age of 88 in Elyria, Ohio.

Filo is survived by her husband of 72 years, Francisco Figueroa, her children Benjamin (Eva Bonilla), Mery Reyes (Daniel), Elisa DeJesus (Elio), Anna Burgos (Anibal), Pastor David (Mildred Senquiz), and Lydia DeJesus (Carmelo), 19 grandchildren, 34 greatgrandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, and a brother Andres Andujar.

She was preceded in death by her parents Eugenio and Francisca, an infant son, Luis her son, granddaughter Vanessa, son in law Carmelo, brother Eugenia Torres, sisters Carmen Perez and Lucia Perez.

She was a devoted mother who taught her children to have faith and believe in miracles. Her children remember her as a kind and gentle mother who encouraged them to serve God.

She loved to cook traditional meals for her family and was a member of Christian Tabernacle Church, which her son David Pastors.

Funeral Services will be private for family and friends. Burial will be Wednesday in Ridge Hill Memorial Park. Pastor David Figeuroa will officiate.
