Jorge Antonio Perez, 68, Enjoyed Baseball and Fishing

Photo of Jorge Antonio Perez Jorge Antonio Perez, 68, of Lorain, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 in his home following a lengthy illness.

He was born January 21, 1949 in Utuado, Puerto Rico. Jorge came to Lorain in 1974. He was a self-employed mechanic and had also worked at the Ford Lorain Assembly Plant and the Elyria Foundry. Jorge enjoyed his dog “Macho” baseball, fishing, cooking and cook outs. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and Old Puerto Rican Music. Jorge was a huge Jeff Gordon, NASCAR Fan.

He will be deeply missed by his daughters Evelyn (Edward) Maldonado and Lissette Perez of Buffalo, New York; son Jorge Luis (Amy) Perez of Buffalo; his mother Esther M. Perez of Lorain; sisters Haydee Maldonado of Palm Bay, Florida and Carmen M. Cruz of Lorain; brother Efrain Perez of Lorain; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Jorge was preceded in death by his father Jose A. Perez.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, May 17 from 5 to time of service at 7 PM in Templo Emmanuel Assembly of God, 4230 Clinton Avenue, Lorain. Pastor Pedro Negron will officiate.
