Robert E. Enzor, 85, U.S. Army Veteran

Photo of Robert E. Enzor Robert E. Enzor, 85, of Lorain passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Anchor Lodge Retirement Village following a long illness.

Mr. Enzor was born in Amherst on September 2, 1931, the son of the late Maurice and Anna (nee Harris) Enzor.

He was a veteran of the US Army.Served in the Korean war 1950-55.

Mr. Enzor was a retired letter carrier for many years with the US Postal Service.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 397 in Vermilion for 65 years, serving as post commander and post advocate. He was the parade Marshall 50 yrs. for annual Legion Halloween Parade. He is also a member of the Amvets Post 22 and the VFW Post 7576. He also served as 5th District Commander. He was a member of the American Legion Department of Ohio, serving as treasurer, First Vice Commander and Deputy Commander. He bowled on the Legion Bowling league and served as treasurer for more than 50 years, served as secretary of the Lake Erie Lanes Bowling League for 60 years. Mr. Enzor is survived by sons Peter D. (Susan) Enzor of Amherst, Keith A. (Wertly) Enzor, of Wheaton, MD., 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sisters Maureen (nee Enzor) of _Oakpoint, FL, Donna (John) (nee Enzor) Yashan of Amherst, OH, a niece and care-giver Doreen Yashan of Amherst, OH and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carole (nee Gannon) and a brother Richard Enzor.

Friends may call on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 4-8 PM in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.

Funeral Services will be held on June 6, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Bradley J Donahue, pastor of Christian Temple-Disciples of Christ, officiating.

Burial with full military honors provided by the US Army and The Vermilion Veterans Council will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the "Gifts to the Yanks" American Legion Post 397, 2713 SR 60, Vermilion, Ohio 44089.
