Stanley Falbo, 65, U.S. Army Veteran

Photo of Stanley Falbo Stanley Falbo, age 65, of Lorain, passed away at his residence on the morning of Friday June 9, 2017 following a brief illness.

Stanley was born in Lorain on August 30, 1951 and remained a life-long resident of the city; he attended Lorain High School.

He went on to serve in the United States Army from 1968 through 1970 and fulfilled duty assignments as an administrative aide.

Stanley was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Falbo Construction. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 18 of Cleveland.

He was well known for his love of nature and animals and possessed a special fondness for cats. In addition, he enjoyed living near the water and liked fishing, boating, and beach life.

He is survived by his wife of forty-five years Karen M. Falbo (nee Palmer), children Dianea Huhn of Lorain, Karen Bird Falbo of Sheffield Lake, Stanley Natale Falbo of Amherst, Eric A. Falbo of Lorain, and Michael A. Smith, also of Lorain. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sisters Teresa Pelton of Oberlin, and Diane Gale of Vermilion, brothers John and Peter Falbo both of Lorain, and a host of extended family members including nieces, nephews, cousins, and his goddaughter Denise Dalton.

Stanley was preceded in death by his father Salvatore Natale Falbo, mother Ethel M. Falbo (nee Branham), brothers Pasquale “Pat” Falbo, and Sam Falbo, and half sister Maria Pecora.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral services at 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Reverend John R. Jackson, M.A.P.C., Chaplain for Mercy New Life Hospice will officiate. Burial will take place in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
