Frances L. Dziak, 87, Enjoyed Flower Gardening

Photo of Frances L. Dziak Frances L. Dziak (nee Keplar), 87, formerly of Lorain, died Thursday July 13, 2017 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.

She was born November 13, 1929 in Nelsonville, Ohio and had resided in Lorain most of her life.

Frances was a member of the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain and the church Altar & Rosary Society and Ladies Guild. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst, the American Slovak Club and the Lorain Catholic Women’s Council. She enjoyed flower gardening, trips to Amish Country and crocheting and had made quilts and afghans for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Robert Dziak (Eileen) of Lorain, Barbara Goza of Cheboygan, Michigan, Beverly Allsop (William) of Vermilion, Joan Rodriguez (Mike) of Grafton, John Dziak Jr (Kathy), James Dziak (Diane) and Michael Dziak (Toni), all of Lorain and Brenda Jones (David) of Tecumseh, MI; 24 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and brothers Linden Keiffer of Lorain and Dennis Keiffer (Kathy) of Sheffield Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years John W. Dziak Sr in 2014, mother Hazel Keiffer (nee Keplar), brother Dale Keiffer and son-in-law Dennis Goza in April 2017.

The family will receive friends Monday July 17th from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 18th at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev. Leonard Bacik, pastor of St. Bartholomew Parish in Middleburgh Heights, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
