Magdalene Puza, 92, Skilled in Needlepoint, Cross Stitch and Knitting

She was born August 24, 1924 in Cleveland, grew up in Lorain, moved to Bedford when she married and raised her family there before moving back to Lorain in 1996.
Magdalene graduated from St. Mary Academy in Lorain. She worked at General Electric in Cleveland as an Executive Secretary retiring in 1986.
She was a member of St. Peter Parish in Lorain. She was very skilled in needlepoint, cross stitch and knitting and made afghans for all members of her family of which they cherish to this day. Magdalene enjoyed reading and exercising at the Lorain YMCA and Avon YMCA.
She is survived by her children: Tom Puza (Rosemary Noel) of Carmel, Indiana, Judi Christie (Phil) of California, Maryland and Margaret Puza of Lorain; grandchildren: Nikki Puza, Michael Puza and MacLain Christie; brother Albert Yontack (Melody) of Lorain; sister Barbara Georgevich (Daniel) of Lorain and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Frank J. Puza in 1994 and parents Julius & Agnes Yontack (nee Molnar).
The family will receive friends Saturday July 15th from 10:00 am until the time of the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
