Edna Mae Mills, 72, Loved to Travel to Las Vegas and Atlantic City
Edna Mae Doodie Mills (nee McKinney), 72, of Lorain, died Sunday July 16, 2017 at her home while surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born November 6, 1944 in Coal City, West Virginia and had resided in Lorain over 50 years.
Doodie was a former member of the PLAV Post #38 Ladies Drill Team. She bowled for many years in Slovak Social League on Wednesday night at Slovak Lanes in Lorain and the Monday Nite Ladies Classic Doubles League at Rebman Recreation in Lorain. She loved to travel to Las Vegas and Atlantic City to gamble and play slots and enjoyed taking cruises.
She is survived by her children: Steven Bolen (Karen) of Amherst, Anita Fekete of Lorain and Joey Mills (Dina) of Trinity, Florida; stepchildren: Bonnie Rosenberger (Greg) of Surfside Beach, South Carolina and Robert Mills (Rose) of Solon; 6 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; mother Delsie McKinney (nee Butler) and sisters and brothers: Alene, David, Phyllis, Jerry, Ray, Rocky, Marvin and Robin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Addison O. Sonny Mills, III in 2015, father Fred McKinney in 2002, brother Tommy McKinney in 2015 and son-in-law Michael Fekete in 2005.
The family will receive friends Wednesday July 19th from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Thursday July 20th at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel. Pastor Jim Cook of Church on the North Coast in Lorain will officiate. Cremation will follow.
