Candise Canterbury, 68, Enjoyed Crafts and Ceramics
Candise Canterbury (nee Mislinski), 68, of Sheffield Village, died Monday July 17, 2017 at her home while surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born February 19, 1949 in Lorain and had been a lifelong area resident.
Candise enjoyed crafts, ceramics, crocheting, cooking for the holidays, spending time with her grandchildren, her church and dining out. She attended the Church of God in Sheffield Village.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years Robert S. Canterbury; children: Robert F. Canterbury of Avon and Kimberly A. Barendt (William M.) of Sheffield Village; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and sisters Chrysta Vanuch (James) of Amherst, Cindi Torres (Orlando) of Lorain and Camille Mislinski Romero of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents George & Betty Jean Mislinski (nee Blair) and brothers Desmond Mislinski and Dana Mislinski.
The family will receive friends Thursday July 20th from 2-4, 6-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 22nd at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev. Scott Skeens, pastor of Church of God in Sheffield Village, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
