Georgia M. Brunner, 83, Enjoyed Spending Time with Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
Georgia M. Brunner (nee Stanley), 83, of Lorain, died Tuesday August 22, 2017 at her home after a short illness.
She was born December 7, 1933 in Sciotoville, Ohio and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
Georgia was a member of the former Delaware Avenue Methodist Church in Lorain where she sang in the church choir. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, camping, cross-stitch and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter Jacki Mihalic of Lorain; daughter-in-law Lynda Brunner of Amherst; grandchildren: Jason Brunner (Jackie) of Elyria, Ryan Brunner (Melissa) of Lorain and Lindsey McCarthy (Adam) of Amherst; great grandchildren: Benjamin Brunner, Dylan Brunner, Katelyn Brunner, Lex Brunner, Kade McCarthy, Fynley McCarthy and Taylor McCarthy; brother Donald Stanley of Lorain; sister-in-law Joyce Stanley of Sheffield Lake and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Raymond H. Brunner; father Albert Stanley, mother Gladys Stanley-Anderson (nee Myers); son Rex A. Brunner; son-in-law Karl Mihalic and brothers Howard Stanley, Carl Stanley and Albert Stanley Jr.
The family will receive friends Thursday August 24th from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Friday August 25th at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev. John Jackson chaplain of Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain will preside.
