Jacqueline A. Kish, 82, Enjoyed Spending Time With Her Grandchildren
Jacqueline A. Kish (nee Waldecki), 82, of Lorain, died Monday October 2, 2017 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center of St Joseph in Lorain after a long illness.
She was born September 19, 1935 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1953.
Jacqueline worked as an operator at the former Lorain Telephone Company and as a bus driver and volunteer at the Lucy Idol Center in Vermilion.
She and her late husband Ron acted as therapeutic foster parents for Lorain County Children Services and the Center for Children and Youth Services.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Lorain and the church Mother’s Club. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, reading and traveling.
She is survived by her daughter Paula H. Belch of Lorain, sons: Mark N. Kish of Elyria, Andres Dominguez (Laiza), Michael Monticue (Racheal) and Alberto Rosario (Angela) all of Lorain; grandchildren: Suzanne Belch of Lorain, Catherine Grudier of Wellington, Andres L. Dominguez, Alexander Rosario and Anthony Alloway; great grandchildren: Sean, Gabrielle, Donovan and Zachary Grudier and Dane Bednarik and many more children and grandchildren through foster care. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Ronald M. Kish in 1995, parents Stanley & Rose Waldecki (nee Kukuc) and brother John Paul Waldecki.
The family will receive friends Thursday October 5th from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday October 6th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 2143 Homewood Dr in Lorain. The mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday October 6th at 11:00 am in the church. The Rev. John Retar, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
