Beth L. Kaliszewski, 85, Very Family Oriented
Betty L. Kaliszewski (nee Parker), 85, of Lorain, died Wednesday October 18, 2017 at the home of her granddaughter Jennifer Pierce in Vermilion after a short illness.
She was born July 6, 1932 in Empire, Ohio and had resided in the Lorain area most of her life.
Betty worked in housekeeping at Lorain Community Hospital for over 25 years before retiring.
She was very family oriented and spent a lot of time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing.
She is survived by her children: Linda Cain (Dennis) of Amherst, Edward Kaliszewski (JoAnn) of Lorain, Betty Ann Vincent of Louisville, Kentucky and Barbara Pierce of Lorain; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother Leonard Parker of Lorain and sister Donna McComas (Irvin) of Fruitland Park, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Edward Kaliszewski in 2003, parents Hugh & Thelma Parker (nee Armstrong), grandson Scott E. Vincent, Jr, brothers: Kenneth Parker, Carl Parker, Jack Parker, Robert Parker & William Bragwell; sister Ruth Ice and sons-in-law: Howard E. Pierce and Scott E. Vincent, Sr.
The family will receive friends Monday October 23rd from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Mark Telepak, chaplain with Crossroads Hospice, presiding. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
