Brenda K. Rivera, 63, Enjoyed Bingo and Gardening
Brenda K. Rivera (née Evans), 63, of Lorain passed away Thursday, November 9 2017 at her sons residence peacefully surrounded by her loving family, following an lengthy illness.
She was born in Sutton, West Virginia to Russell and Ava Jean Evans. Her life was being a mother of four boys and an amazing grandmother and a great grandmother, even though, she was a dedicated employee of Pierre Foods in Lorain. She enjoyed bingo and gardening.
Brenda is survived by her children Carmelito Rivera, Alex (Kim) Rivera, Matthew (Stephanie) Rivera and Joshua Rivera; brothers Roy (Jodi) Evans and Bill (Christina deceased); Evans; sister Judy Evans; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Brenda was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Lee Evans and sisters Carolyn Sue Griffith and Linda Whitt.
Her family will receive friends Thursday, November 16 from 10 AM until time of her funeral at 11 AM in First United Methodist Church, 312 3rd Street, Elyria. Rev. W. Kent Joy, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Collins Cemetery, Collins, Ohio.
