Barbara E. Suster, 68, Enjoyed Yardwork, Gardening and Cooking
Barbara E. Suster (nee Gray), 68, of Elyria Township, died Saturday November 18, 2017 at her home after a long illness.She was born June 10, 1949 in Oneida, Tennessee and had resided in the Lorain County area most of her life.
Barbara worked at the Ridge Tool Company in Elyria as an Inspector for 10 years before retiring.
She was a member of First Community Church in Lorain. She enjoyed yardwork, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her daughter Jade Suster of Flagstaff, Arizona; sisters: Catheryn Brown (Rick) of Sheffield Village and Eva Speakman of Columbus and brother Wayne Gray (Lora) of Humble, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years John D. Suster, Jr on February 4, 2009; parents Orville and Jean Gray (nee Griffith) and brothers Jack, Larry and Jerry Gray.
The family will receive friends Tuesday November 21, 2017 from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the funeral chapel. The Rev. Gary Griffith, pastor of First Community Church in Lorain and a cousin of Barbara’s, will preside. Cremation will follow and her ashes will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township at a later date.
