Kieran A. Dillon, 50, Enjoyed Spending Time with His Daughters

Photo of Kieran A. Dillon Kieran A. Dillon, 50, of North Ridgeville, died unexpectedly on Sunday November 26, 2017 in the emergency room at University Hospital St. John Medical Center in Westlake.

He was born June 3, 1967 in Lorain and had resided in North Ridgeville for the past 15 years.

Dillon graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1985, attended Kent State University for 3 years and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.

He worked as the Executive Chef at Scioto Country Club in Upper Arlington since 2005. Prior to that, he worked as Executive Chef at Columbia Hills Country Club in Columbia Station.

Dillon was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Elyria and the American Culinary Foundation. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, was an avid Cleveland sports fan and gave of his time and talents as a cook to volunteer at community fundraisers and events in the Cleveland and Columbus area.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years Jennifer Dillon (nee Massimiani); daughters Keira and Katherine Dillon, both at home; mother Phyllis Dillon (nee Harrington) of Lorain, sister Barbara Doverspike (Gene) of Avon, brothers: Brendan Dillon (Barbara) of Elyria and James Dillon of Columbus; nephew Eamon Dillon, niece Clare Doverspike and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father James Dillon on November 26, 2000.

The family will receive friends Wednesday November 29th from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Additional viewing will be held Thursday November 30th from 10:00 am until the time of the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Jude Parish, 590 Poplar St, Elyria. The Rev. Frank Kosem, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
