Barbara L. Curley, 73, Avid Reader

She was born in Lorain, OH on October 9, 1944. Barb graduated from St. Mary Academy, Class of 1962. She was a member of St. Mary Parish in Lorain and St. Peter Parish in Lorain. Barb worked at the Lorain County Sherriff’s office as the administrative assistant, retiring in 2001. She was very active in the Lorain County Democratic Party. Barb was an avid reader, she enjoyed watching movies, and she had a great love for Disney.

She is survived by her sisters, Karen Curley, Mary Lou (Jim) Hodkey and Jean (Frank) Bobel; nephew, Brent Hodkey; nieces, Stacey Hodkey and Megan Bobel; a great nephew, Declan; great niece, Brianna; and Aunt Alice Long.

She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Margaret Curley.

The family will receive friends at St. Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Ave, Lorain, OH 44053 on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, Fr. Gerald J. Keller, officiating with Fr. Craig M. Hovanec, Pastor, con-celebrating. A private Christian burial service will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
