Alexander German Caruloff, 97, Expert Gardener

Photo of Alexander German Caruloff Alexander German Caruloff, 97 of Lorain, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his home.

He was born September 15, 1920 in German, Macedonia. He immigrated to Lorain, Ohio in 1936. He served in the United States Army and fought in WWII in Europe earning four Bronze Stars. He worked at Gel-Pak, Inc., Lorain as night foreman for many years. He was an expert gardener, enjoyed hunting, attending auctions and flea markets.

Alexander was preceded in death by his parents German and Sophia (nee Topoloff) Caruloff and brothers.

His family will receive friends Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain at 10am with funeral service at 11am Rev. Fr. Paul Monkowski, Rector of Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial to follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township with military honors by AMVETS Post 32, Elyria.
