Ernesto Soto Mayor Rodriguez, 90, Loved to Play Guitar and Tell Jokes

He was born in Lares, Puerto Rico December 6th 1927. Ernesto moved to New York when he was 17 and then to Lorain in 1940. Where he lived the rest his life.

Ernesto retired from Ford Ohio Assembly Plant, Avon in 1998 as a general assembler. He loved to play his guitar, tell jokes, shine up his cars and help anyone he could. Ernesto was a joyful man that loved life and his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Soto Mayor and father Cecilio Rodriguez.

He is survived by son Ernesto Rodriguez Jr., daughters Elizabeth (Lisa) Rodriguez and Madelin Ramos; brothers and sisters of Puerto Rico and Lorain He has grandchildren Ernesto Rodriguez III , Alexis Rodriguez , Junito Rodriguez, Brandy, Paul and life partner Elba Padua.

His family will receive friends Tuesday, January 2 from 4 to 8 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. His funeral will be in the funeral home Wednesday at 10 AM. Deacon Lou Maldonado of Sacred Heart Chapel will officiate.
