Norene P. Gonzalez, 83, Enjoyed Spending Time with Her Grandchildren

She was born November 18, 1934 in Wellington, OH and remained a lifetime area resident.

Norene’s employment history includes Higbees, US Steel, and Invacare. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Norene is survived her children John (Brenda) McGrew of Elyria, Sam (Maryellen) McGrew of Amherst Twp., Christine (Thomas) Lahetta of South Amherst, Russell (Chris) McGrew of Elyria, and Douglas (Alice) McGrew of North Ridgeville, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, sisters Pauline Conrad, Virginia Paull, Lois Bennett, Lenore Bennett, and Luvena Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Gonzales in 1991, a son Michael McGrew in 1958, grandson Billy McGrew, brothers Landis, Robert, Marvin Daryl, Leroy, and Johnny Jr. Reaser, and sisters Ruth Conrad, Vera Jean Marks, and Josephine Earle.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 pm till time of funeral service at 7:00 pm in Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain. Deacon John Slatcoff will officiate.
