Antonia Perez, 88, Enjoyed Boating and Traveling
Antonia Tona Perez (nee Semidey), 88, of Lorain passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 following a long illness.
She was born May 16, 1929 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Antonia and her husband Enrique moved to New York City in 1951 and then to Lorain in 1974. They retired to Palm Bay, Florida in 1998 and returned to Lorain in 2007
Toaa worked for many years at May Co., Sheffield. She enjoyed, boating, traveling, cooking, ceramics, music and dancing. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She was a regular volunteer in the kitchen.
She will be deeply missed by her son Henry A. Perez and his wife Ellen Perez (nee Teleha) of Lorain.
Tona was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years Enrique in 2008; her parents Pedro Semidey and Adela Torres brother Luis Semidey and her sisters Marina Echevarria, Monserrate and Teresa Semidey.
Her family will receive friends Sunday, January 7 from 2 to 6 in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Friends may also call Monday from 8:30 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Her family suggests contributions in her memory be made to the Sacred Heart Memorial Fund, 3401 Pearl Avenue, Lorain Ohio 44055.
