Mary E. Macove, 97, Enjoyed Gardening and Baking

Photo of Mary E. Macove Mary E. Macove (nee Cantelli), 97, of Lorain, died Friday January 5, 2018 at her home.

She was born June 14, 1920 in Sandusky and had resided in Lorain most of her life.

Mary worked for Singer Sewing Company, was a cook in the convent at St. Mary Catholic Church, worked at Mascon Toy Company for over 30 years then worked at May Company and National Pharmacy.

She was a member of St. Peter Parish in Lorain and enjoyed gardening, baking, spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of people.

She is survived by her children: Mary Beth Macove of Lorain and David Macove (Sandy) of Cincinnati; grandchildren: Jeremiah Findley (Martha) of Sheffield Lake, Brittany Findley of Lorain and Daniel Macove and Angelina Macove, both of Cincinnati; 5 great grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy Winters and Anita Cantelli, both of Sandusky and sister-in- law Adriana Cantelli of Sandusky. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Macove, parents Quinto & Philomena Cantelli (nee Vanucci), brothers Ray and Paul Cantelli and sisters Rose Chioromonte, Natalie Lefler and Sally Fantuz.

The family will receive friends Tuesday January 9 th from 10:00 am until the time of the mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at St Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Craig Hovanec will preside.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Sandusky.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo- Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
