Helen F. Murawski, 91, Will Be Dearly Missed

Helen F. Murawski (nee Zaborniak), 91, of Lorain, died Tuesday February 6, 2018 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain after a short illness.

She was born May 30, 1926 in Lorain and had been a lifelong resident of Lorain.

Helen graduate from Lorain High School Class of 1944-B. She worked at Admiral King High School in Lorain as a baker in the cafeteria preparing food for the student lunches.

She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain where she was active in the church Rosary Society. She currently was a member of St. Peter Parish in Lorain.

She is survived by her children: John Murawski of Lorain, Barbara Jacobs of Elyria and Janice Didich (Dr Aaron) of Strongsville; grandson Dr. Aaron M. Didich (Jocelyn) of Strongsville; great grandson Dominic Michael Didich; sister Alice Rybarczyk (Dick) in Oberlin; brothers: Henry Zaborniak (Oletha) of Perrysburg, Stanley Zaborniak of Lorain and Ted Zaborniak (Pat) of North Ridgeville and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry D. Murawski in 2009 whom she married on July 2, 1949, parents Paul & Francis Zaborniak (nee Paukst) and sister-in-law Mary Ann Zaborniak.

The family will receive friends Friday February 9th from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 10th at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
