Daniel Rivas, 46, Avid Chicago Bulls Fan

He was born September 12, 1971 in Lorain. He received his G. E. D. from Southview High School. He attended House of Praise International Church, Lorain. Daniel was working for Shiloh Industries in Wellington. He enjoyed his music and shared it as “D. J. Dan Swift”. Daniel was an avid Chicago Bulls Fan.

Daniel will be dearly missed by his mother Ana Rivas of Lorain; sisters Marysel Rivas of Lorain, Teresa Honis of Wooster Madelyn Roldan and Elizabeth Rivas Perez of Lorain; his girlfriend Sophia Hernandez and a step daughter Arianna Cruz of Lorain. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Cornelio Rivas; bothers Robert Rivas and Luis Alberto Rivas and a sister Carmen Rivera.

His family will receive Wednesday, March 28 from 4 to 8 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. His funeral service will be Thursday at 10 AM in the House of Praise, 4321 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Max Perez, Associate Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
